BRIEF INTRO

The Leather Industries Develolpment Corporation of A.P.Limited, Hyderabad was set up on 4th October, 1973, under Indian Companies Act, 1956. Its registerd office at Hyderabad.
MAIN OBJECTIVES
 
a)
To promote and develop the Leather Industry in the State and also facilitate needful employment to Leather Artisans among S.Cs., particularly to Women.
     
   
Sensitization of Leather Artisans towards the developing of Leather Industry in the State of Andhra Pradesh.
     
    Formation of Self help groups.
     
   
Identification and selection of prospective artisans for deputing them to various levels of training.
     
   
Arranging Institutional finance to the trained and setting up independent production units and turning them into entrepreneurs.
     
    Infrastructure Development.
     
    Skill upgradation.
     
    Inducting modern technologies to escalate the quantity and quality of products produced.
     
  b)
LIDCAP Prime objective will be to provide necessary support to the leather artisans in Andhra Pradesh through training infrastructure and other administrative support along with establishing marketing Net Work quality Footwear & Leather Goods to Various State, central Government Departments and Corporations. This leads to revenues to the department that will take care of overheads like salaries, etc. LIDCAP also gives credit to these departments so that people come forward and encash this opportunity.
